A persuasive essay is a piece of writing that describes a particular perspective and provides evidence in support of that perspective. While similar to an argumentative essay, the logic of a persuasive essay can be based on emotion rather than substantiated evidence, and it does not need to take the counter argument into account. Whether you are writing an essay for a composition class, or you are sending a letter to a newspaper editor, having a carefully crafted argument with solid evidence will make your writing more convincing and effective.

While writing a persuasive essay , it is always better to be concise as well as take an objective or a third person viewpoint. A good hook for persuasive essay would either be a statistic that is cited properly, any relevant quote, some musing as a consequence of the essay’s topic, any shocking statement that the writer can back up later in the writing or make the conclusion interesting enough leaving some impact on the reader’s mind.

To create an argument which involves persuasion you need to attend to your topic by focusing on one aspect and gathering evidence and straightening up your facts.

Next, create an outline. Organize the evidence to build the strongest possible argument. If the teacher has specified an essay structure, incorporate it into the outline. Typically, the persuasive essay comprises five or six paragraphs:
